How much does shipping to the Canary Islands cost?
It depends on the weight of your order:
€24.99 for orders up to 10 kg.
€29.99 for orders up to 20 kg.
How is my order shipped to the Canary Islands?
By sea, using the Correos Express Islas Marítimo service. It is a little slower than air freight, which allows us to offer you a lower shipping price.
How long does it take to arrive?
Delivery takes between 4 and 10 working days.
Will I be able to track my order?
Yes. We will send you a tracking number so you can check the status of your shipment at any time.
What does the delivery service include?
The Correos Express service includes: Immediate location of the recipient. Two delivery attempts. Anticipation and handling of any incidents that may arise during transport. Basic cover for the shipment.
What should I bear in mind before placing my order?
That, on arrival in the Canary Islands, IGIC and any applicable taxes, duties and customs handling fees will be added to the cost of the products and shipping. Before placing your order, make sure you take these possible additional costs into account.
Do the prices on the website include VAT if I buy from the Canary Islands?
No. When you enter a delivery address in the Canary Islands, the prices you see on the website do not include VAT, so you do not pay us that tax. You buy our products at a lower price than the same purchase would cost with VAT.
Will I have to pay anything else when my order arrives?
Yes. When the order arrives in the Canary Islands, the recipient must pay the taxes and charges that apply at destination, mainly: IGIC, which replaces VAT in the Canary Islands. Taxes, duties or customs charges, where applicable. Any other handling fee that may be charged by the company responsible for customs clearance or delivery.
Are these taxes charged by Nonna Market?
No. They are costs arising from the entry of the goods into the Canary Islands and are paid by the recipient directly at destination. Nonna Market neither charges nor receives these amounts.
Do the shipping costs include IGIC or customs charges?
No. The shipping charge (€24.99 or €29.99, depending on the weight) covers transport only and is separate from those costs. It does not include taxes or any customs charges at destination.
What happens if the final cost seems too high to me?
We want you to have all the information before you receive your order so that you can assess the total cost. If, once you have been informed of the charges at destination, you feel the final cost is too high, you can let us know before the order is shipped.
So is it worth buying from the Canary Islands?
Our aim is for you to enjoy authentic Italian products in the Canary Islands while buying them at a more competitive price, as VAT is not included.
